Traffic School Approval Request

Please do not pay towards your case until after you receive your approval email. This will ensure the information is reported correctly to the driver's license division.

Plea in abeyance terms are offered by the prosecutor as a way to resolve your citation, and then approved by the court.

Not all violations will qualify for a plea in abeyance and approval is also conditioned upon your driving record.

Plea in abeyance agreements require that you pay a plea in abeyance AND a traffic school fee. If your citation has become delinquent and/or a warrant has been issued prior to your request, enhancement fees may also be added.

You will receive an email notification back from the court indicating if you have been approved or denied for the traffic school option. If you do not receive notification back within 5 business days, check your email filters to make sure the response has not been considered spam. Plea in Abeyance Terms

I enter my plea of guilty to the charges listed on the citation and agree to have this plea held in abeyance under the specified terms and conditions.

I agree that the plea in abeyance period will be six months from the date of court approval.

I agree to obey all laws, state, local and federal, and not have any further traffic violations during the plea in abeyance period.

I agree to pay the standard plea in abeyance fee associated with my charge(s) within 30 days of notification of approval of this agreement.

I agree to pay for and attend a court approved traffic school within 90 days of notification of approval of this agreement. I understand most traffic school fees are around $70, but the fee may vary depending on the option I choose.

I understand that if I fail to comply with these terms and conditions, the court will enter my plea, report the disposition to the driver's license division and any fees paid will be forfeited without further notice to me.

I understand if I fail to pay the plea in abeyance fee, that the unpaid balance will be turned over to the Office of State Debt Collection which could incur additional collection fees.
